UBITQUITY LAUNCHES ÆROPORIA, A BLOCKCHAIN PLATFORM FOR THE AVIATION INDUSTRY
Ubitquity, the innovative leader in the blockchain, title and real estate space has launched its blockchain-powered aviation platform
Wilmington, Delaware, USA — March 11, 2021 — Ubitquity LLC, the leading enterprise blockchain-secured platform for real estate and title recordkeeping, is pleased to announce that it has launched its blockchain aviation platform called æroporia in order to meet the needs of the aviation industry including federal government agencies like the Federal Aviation Administration.
“The æroporia blockchain aviation platform’s RESTful API is able to integrate seamlessly into existing product stacks and workflows without adding additional steps which can be time consuming and costly. Ubitquity recently signed up as a Small Organizational Member of the Government Blockchain Association and we have plans to join their new Blockchain Aviation Working Group which aligns perfectly with the launch of æroporia,” said Nathan Wosnack, Founder & CEO at Ubitquity.
“æroporia which translates to ‘aviation’ in Greek, helps title companies create a parallel on-chain blockchain-based system for parts of the title and registration processes and helps to tokenize them. Our goal is to make the platform completely turnkey by the end of the year with NFT (Non-Fungible Token) features,” added Wosnack.
æroporia will allow customers to list and create security guarantees, and request bodies within the JSON file format such as debtor name, debtor address, assignor name, assignor address. Where the guarantees are stored, an additional tx_hash (transaction hash) field is returned and contains ID of relevant ETH (Ether) transactions. The Create a new Security Guarantee feature allows it to be automatically stored as a smart contract on the Ethereum network.
In addition, the Bill of Sale will collect Transferee Name, Address, Nationality of the title being issued and of the person transferring the title (if applicable). The platform will track and list the make and model of the aircraft, date of aircraft manufacture and maintenance, serial number, aircraft registration number, and more.
The æroporia API is written in the Python programming language and utilizes the Django REST framework, and web3.py interface. Like the unanimity BaaS platform, æroporia is built to fully support Docker; an open platform to build, ship, and run distributed applications. You can read the Docker installation documentation from Ubitquity on their publicly available GitHub repo.
æroporia is currently operating on the Ethereum blockchain. However, as part of Ubitquity’s long-standing mission of being a blockchain agnostic platform, they have plans to integrate into the Proton Chain Blockchain (who were announced as partners in September 2020), and hopefully soon on the leading enterprise-friendly VeChain Ecosystem and VeChainThor public blockchain.
