“Why did you open-source it?”
Like many start-ups in our position, after four years of maintaining unanimity as closed-sourced proprietary software (from 2018–2022), we’ve decided to focus on our other applications. We are focused on real estate payments (UbitquityPay) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) modules, Non-Fungible Title, and an eventual full software suite for title/escrow, underwriters, and banks (SmartEscrow).
Although unanimity will remain open source, we will still charge for support and development. Unanimity paid legacy support and software development consulting is available on a per-request basis through our Managed Solutions.

“How does this benefit Ubitquity?”
A community-driven contribution to unanimity, which is now at version 1.1 will improve the application. A community reviewing and improving the source code will help fix bugs and harden the code against security vulnerabilities/exploits that may exist in unanimity.
Ubitquity will be able to, when appropriate, take pieces of this source code and implement them into our other software applications. In addition, Ubitquity is available for paid legacy support and software development consulting on a per-request basis.
